Family Valentine’s Day Dinner in Red and White
When my children were little, we would have a family Valentine’s Day Dinner. Small little gifts by their plates to go along with their Valentines. Somewhere along the way my children grew up and this tradition faded away. This year I decided to restart this cherished tradition with my now grown up children!
I have longed to use this Crate and Barrel large, round white serving platter as a centerpiece.
My three glass candlestick holders came from Hobby Lobby and are 3 different heights. Crystal Candle Rings, Valentine Bowl Filler and Pillar candles are also from Hobby Lobby.
I love the simple red and white color scheme. Perfect setting for dinner and strawberry daiquiris!
My Place Setting begins with a red place mat from Pier One turned horizontal. Napkins were a sale item from Pier One but that have red napkins that match the place mats at Pier One.
My Lucite napkin rings came from Pottery Barn and are now discontinued. Similar napkin rings can be found at Amazon.
Up next in my Place Setting is a white doily shaped charger plate from Michaels. Red dinner plate is from the Pioneer Woman at Walmart. My white salad plate is over 30 years old! But any set of white dishes would have worked.
The take home favor for the evening will be this extra large chocolate kiss set on a
small red heart shaped doily.
All the glassware is from Bed Bath and Beyond.
I hope this inspires you to have a “Family Valentine Dinner”. I cherish and treasure every single minute spent with my husband and children. They are truly a blessing in my life and I am so thankful and grateful to love them and to have them love me in return.
Blessings and Joy,
Tammy
