For the past few years, my daughters, Kelsey and Katelyn and I have jointly hosted a Christmas Ornament Exchange. It has become one of my most favorite events. Each of us invite all our friends with an invite that allows everyone to bring a friend with them. I mean, can a person ever have enough friends?!?
We have this wonderful mix of women from all ages and it is always a joy to see old friends and a blessing to meet and make new friends. We laugh, eat, laugh some more and then we do the usual “Dirty Santa” game with our wrapped ornaments.
I love to send home a favor each year as a memento of our evening together. I bought these silver and gold mercury glass doves for this year’s favor. My initial intention was to attach a poem about “Make new friends and keep the old. One is silver and the other’s gold” But then! I came across this beautiful poem, “A Gentle Reminder” from Nancy over at Craft Your Happiness. The world could always use more kindness and this poem is a gentle reminder to help make the world a little kinder. Not just at Christmas but all year long.
Blessings and Joy,
Tammy
