July 4th is just around the corner! How thankful I am for those who uphold and protect our freedoms here in the United States. We are indeed blessed to call this the Land of the Free.
I love to have my Patriotic decorations up in time for Memorial Day.
That way we can enjoy the red, white and blue for several weeks.
I love this American framed print. I purchased it almost 30 years ago for my son’s first “big boy” bedroom! His room had an Americana Decor. Complete with a red, white and blue quilt and this signed print by John Furches.
The metal star and pennant garland came from Hobby Lobby and can be found (here) I always have a supply of flags on hand but I will admit….I found the white stripes too bright so I got out my distressing ink pad and blotted the white stripes so they looked more vintage.
The handpainted eagle was also used in my son’s room. I love the vintage look of my mantel and bringing out my son’s “big boy” bedroom items brought back lots of happy memories. Every time I see my mantle it makes me smile…..
Blessings and Joy,
Tammy
