“Then the Whos, young and old, would sit down to a feast. And they’d feast!
And they’d feast! And they’d FEAST! FEAST! FEAST! FEAST!”
Dr Seuss – How The Grinch Stole Christmas
Last year, I became enamored with “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”. The bright red and cheery citrus green colors just made me happy! It all started with a picture on Pinterest….(doesn’t it always) of a Grinch and Max yard art (see that post here). From yard art it went to a”Grinch Christmas Tree” (see that post here).
This year I have continued the theme with a Whoville Feast Tablescape. Here is the paper product version for our Sunday School Class.
This is my first year hosting our class without using real Christmas china and I must admit, it set just a beautiful table as my real china tablescape! So, take it easy on yourself and go with paper products! These polka dot ones came from Hobby Lobby (here)
I made the little Whoville Trees myself. I got the trees and ornaments at Hobby Lobby 50% off. My total was $25.oo for everything! The hardest part…..bending the trees! Those little trees were tough! haha The ornaments I simply slid over the branches, no hooks required!
This little footed citrus green depression glass candy dish was my grandmothers. My husband loves old fashion peppermint sticks. It warms my heart every time I see this during the holidays!
I wrapped up two boxes in Hobby Lobby wrapping paper (can you buy stock in Hobby Lobby? Because I should!) The snow I had from our villages, votive candle holders, (Target, .99) snowflake placemats, (Bed, Bath & Beyond, $1.99) green Libbey goblets (Walmart, $2.34) and white Doily Chargers (Michaels, $2.50)
“And he, he himself…the Grinch…carved the roast-beast!”

I hope this post will encourage you to let your imagination run wild. Entertaining should be fun, festive and a joyful event! Give paper products a try the next time you welcome friends and loved ones into your home.
Blessings and Joy,
Tammy
