Springtime always makes me smile. Cold weather is fading away. Buds start to sprout on the trees. And my heart wants to add springtime touches all around my home. This year I decided to feather my nest with bird nests.
I picked up these nests and the birds for half price from a garden center in an After Christmas Sale. I knew they would be perfect for a spring tablescape.
I saw these wooden candlesticks at World Market and could not resist them. I love the natural element they add to my table along with my wicker chargers. I know these candlesticks will see a lot of use in my home!
It would not be spring without a Lily somewhere in my home.
I love the contrast of the dark green leaves in my maize colored urn.
Lemon Drop Martinis anyone?
I decided to make my own reversible napkins. They pick up the maize, tan and blues perfectly. If you would like custom made napkins for your home, I have custom order listing in my Etsy store Make A Joyful Home.
My yellow glassware was from my wedding registry. I refuse to mention HOW many years ago that was! But I have yet to grow tired of them. Through the years I have added more of them to my collection. I am surprised at how many different colors I can use with them.
“You have to believe in happiness, or happiness never comes
Ah, that’s the reason a bird can sing –
On his darkest day he believes in spring.” Douglas Malloch
Spring reminds us of all things new. It gives us hope for tomorrow. All the while reminding us of God’s spectacular creation and how blessed we are to be a part of his wonderful plan. Create for your home a Spring vignette that will remind you of God’s creation every time you see it. I hope this inspires you to feather your nest for spring!
Blessings and Joy,
Tammy
